LASERCUTTING AND LASER ENGRAVING FOR SIGNAGE AND OTHER USES

Lasercutting is a technique which first came into use in the late1960s for
industrial applications. It works by directing a high-powered laser, usually a
CO2 laser, around the shape that needs to be cut usually using an auto CAD
file. Because this is a very precise, accurate method of cutting, and because
it does not involve an actual cutting blade which can become corrupted and
damaged, it is ideal for manufacturing components. As the technology evolved
and became more widely available, designers started to see the potential of
laser cutting to transform their ideas into reality. Wainlux L6 laser engraving machine is using thesame technique to render a design on the surface of a material

Thesetechniques is especially good for intricate, delicate designs which could not
be easily rendered by another cutting or engraving method, and for producing
complex shapes with a smooth, clean cut. The potential for signage is endless,
whether you want stand-out lettering in a fancy italic font or a logo cut out
in detail, laser cutting is an ideal method to achieve this. Laser engraving
takes traditonal house signs and plaques to a whole new level. Outside of the
signage industry, they are used for anything from jewellery to architectural
panels. In the case of engraving, name badges are a very popular smaller
application.

Anotherexciting thing about laser cutting and engraving is that they can be used on such
a variety of different materials.
